HDFFA is founded on the belief that local food should be accessible to everyone, and that our food connects us to each other. We aspire to improve the demand for and appreciation of local food, and to cherish every moment when food tastes better simply because it is local.

The Food & Farm Directory is part of our regional marketing campaign to foster relationships between agricultural producers, farmers’ markets, ranchers, restaurants, institutions, grocers and consumers.

The Directory is available in print and online. It is updated every year in May and distributed through The Source Weekly and the Sisters Nugget.

FAQs

Can I be an HDFFA Partner?

HDFFA partners include farmers, ranchers, and food businesses throughout Central Oregon who pledge to the values stated at the bottom of this webpage. Partners also include nonprofits, agencies, and businesses that promote the values listed in our pledge through supporting our local Food & Farm community. Unsure if your business is a good fit? Send us an email at info@hdffa.org

Why do Farmers and Ranchers get more benefits?

A strong robust local food system is our utmost priority. In order to make this a reality, we acquire funding from a variety of sources including federal grants to support our farm and ranch work specifically.  Currently, we operate under a USDA Beginner Farmer Rancher Development Program grant to staff our full-time Agricultural Support Manager and offer expanded opportunities to our Farm and Ranch Partners.
