Central Oregon Locavore Non Profit

Central Oregon Locavore is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2009 by Nicolle Timm-Branch, a Bend native and RN at St Charles, to support local food and local farmers for the health of the individual, our community, society, and the planet. Locavore is a 7-day-a-week indoor farmers market where local ranchers and growers can sell directly to the community. The Marketplace fairly compensates food producers and sells products affordably to ensure our community can access nutrient-dense, local food. Locavore also manages four mission-driven programs, Willing Workers on Local Farmers or WWOLF (on-farm volunteer work parties supporting farmers), Edible Adventure Crew gleaning classes, Farm Kids hands-on education courses, and Locavore Food School. Locavore is a community-supported organization relying on memberships and donations to maintain operations.
